Classes
Olympia Classes:
Wednesday nights from 7 to 8:50 PM BEGINNING/INTERMEDIATE SALSA $12/$10. These classes are designed to teach dancers the lead/follow roles of salsa. No partner is necessary, although couples are welcome. Beginning is $12 per person and goes from 7 to 8 PM and intermediate is $10 and goes from 8:00 to 8:50. Classes are held in downtown Olympia at 418 Washington St.
Latin Dance Fitness Tuesday nights from 6:30 to 7:30 at Sound Body Fitness in Lacey. No partner necessary. This class done without a partner and is geared towards cardio and fun within the basics of salsa, merengue, reggaeton, bachata and cha cha cha. Cost is $10 pay at the front desk.
Tacoma Classes:
Friday Nights at Latin Sensation on Ft. Lewis military base
Beginning salsa 9 to 9:50 PM, Intermediate 10 to 10:45 PM. No partner necessary. Class is free with $5 cover to club. Latin dancing follows until 3 AM.
Saturdays at the Abbey Ballroom (1901 S. Fawcett St in Tacoma). Every Saturday night Angel Ortiz Hernandez and I host an all ages Latin Dance at the Abbey where I teach a basic lesson from 9 to 9:30 PM. This class is free with the $5 cover for the dance, which lasts from 9:30 to 1:00 AM. This class moves very quickly and covers only the basics of salsa.
